Imperatives

We use imperative clauses when we want to tell someone to do something (most commonly for advice, suggestions, requests, commands, orders or instructions).

                  Open your book.                                                                            Don’t tell anyone that I was here.

           Turn left and then turn right.                                                                      Have a piece of cake. It’s delicious!    

  Don’t sit down on that bench. It’s still wet.                                                                            Mix flour and eggs.        

                    Don't honk here!                                                                                           Tidy your room immediately!
