Songs, songs, songs! Kids love them! The easiest way to expand a childs vocabulary is to listen to songs over and over again. Kids’ brains are like a sponge, they absorb any kind of sensory information they receive.

Plus, songs are just super fun!

The classics are gold, so in case you don’t know any classics here are some:

Old MacDonald Had a Farm, 5 Little Monkey’s Jumping on The Bed, There Were Ten in The Bed, The Itsy Bitsy Spider,Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, etc.

Flashcards are also an important usage in children’s vocabulary. It’s a great visual that you can use as an introduction to the lesson, you can later stick the flashcards on the board or on the wall of the classroom.

Having characters and a concept that relates to the topic is an essential for learning. It’s always easier to see the picture when all the puzzle pieces are put together, right?

For a proper, full lesson, first start by showing the flashcards and repeating the new vocabulary words.
